Cottage Grove Auto Repair

First time customer, and I just moved to Cottage Grove. I was surprised how quickly they were able to replace my brakes, calipers, and do an oil change. Affordable prices help too! Definitely using them again!

The staff was friendly and helpful. I told them I needed a battery and listed the part number as it was on interstate battery’s website. They offered to quickly changed it as I told them I had to be somewhere. When they took the truck back I asked if I should pay and he said no. After they finished I went to pay and was told it was over $300… I was overcharged close to $100 over what the battery was listed as on interstate battery’s website. I had no choose but to pay due to having to leave and service had been completed. If I knew they would overcharge that much I would have gone someplace else for the battery. I don’t plan on going back due to being overcharged so much.

This was my first time using Honest-1 Auto and had a great experience. The employees were helpful and knowledgeable and the price was totally fair and reasonable. Glad I now know a solid auto shop close by.

Friendly staff. Bottom line is they want you to be safe on the roads with your vehicle. Thanks guys. Update since this last post. Wife took her car in for a check engine light. Wanted it fixed so she could use remote start during the winter. They fixed what they thought was the problem, mind you it was almost $1200.00. Worked one day and check engine light came on again. Brought it back and for another $150 they got that off. As they were fixing that they burnt-out the fuse for the wipers. Not only that but they burnt-out the DIC control that operates the hazards and the mpg, the wheel pressure, basically all the info for her car no longer shows. When she brought it up they said we (meaning my wife and I) will have to buy the part.......really? All of that worked just fine when we brought it in. Needless to say, unless they fix it on their dime being they fried it, we won't be back and we won't refer family or friends.

I came in with what I thought was an alternator problem, which they tested for, and discovered a problem with the battery. They replaced it and did a few other maintenance things for me. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and friendly! They helped me get a tow, financing, and even allowed my sister to yell at them when I took it and found that the check engine light was still on and it’s under the hood fan would run continuously after shutting it off. (They fixed it immediately and according to her, it was a simple last step of clearing out the codes.) The only reason for the four stars is the fact that it stressed me out thinking my car was “broken” after the fix! But they handled it well and treated me and my sister professionally.

Stopped in after noticing my car smoking and they stop what they were doing to help me out. Couldn’t have asked for better customer service!!

I am always treated respectfully when I bring my car in to get worked on here. Chris and the team gets everything done in a timely fashion.
